Specialty Measures for Businesses (E)

The Bright Energy Solutions® programs offer ways for almost every sector of business to reduce costs and boost their bottom line. If you haven't found a way to save energy using the other BES programs, you may find it here in the diverse program of Specialty Measures.

The current offering contains incentives for grocery store and convenience store equipment, vending equipment, computer equipment, compressed air equipment, and even commercial clothes washers.

The technologies offered in the Specialty Measures Program will change from time to time, so check back often to see what is new.

Frequently Asked Questions
A: Anti-sweat heater controls sense the relative humidity of air outside of the display case and reduce or turn off the glass door (if applicable) and frame anti-sweat heaters on refrigerated display cases during periods of low humidity.
A: Vending equipment controls must be installed on vending machines that store non-perishable bottled and canned beverages at a refrigerated temperature.  Vending machine controls need to include a passive infrared occupancy sensor to turn off fluorescent lights and set back the temperature (control a compressor) when the surrounding area is unoccupied for a preset length of time.

Controls should maintain temperature through periodic power-ups and provide compressor protection.
A: Only professionally installed, permanent, low emissivity (reflective) night curtain products installed on otherwise open display cases are applicable.
