State of Iowa to offer appliance rebates

02/04/2010
The Office of Energy Independence (OEI) recently announced an Appliance Rebate Program available to Iowa residents starting March 1, 2010. The rebates are available on a first come, first served basis.

Starting at 8 a.m. on March 1, consumers can call a toll free line or visit an internet site to register their appliance information and reserve their rebates. The OEI says the number will be announced one week prior to the start of the program (Feb. 22, 2010). Once the registration and reservation is complete, the customer will be given or be able to print a coupon code that is specific to their reservation. Forms must be mailed back into the processor within 30 days of the date the reservation took place.

Rebates take approximately 3 to 4 weeks to process.
